Qigong Mind

A Qigong mind is one that is able to focus on the present moment during Qigong practice. It lets go of extraneous thoughts that come in without judgement. A Qigong mind utilizes visualization to relax and guide the Qi for self-healing and prevention of illness. A Qigong mind can relax both the body and the mind. A person that has developed a Qigong mind overtime, has a dominant parasympathic nervous system. That is the nervous system is in a state of healing, optimal digestion and relaxation.  A person that has a dominant sympathetic nervous system is always on edge, stressed out and lives in a very emotionally reactive state. Consistent practice of Qigong can reverse sympathetic dominance and recharge weak adrenal glands. So if you feel stressed out all the time, it is time for a Qigong timeout.
